2026 Charity of the Year: Breakfast Club of Canada

The Coffee Association of Canada is excited to announce that Breakfast Club of Canada has been selected as our Charity of the Year for 2026. Every morning, Breakfast Club of Canada helps provide nutritious breakfasts to children across all Canadian provinces and territories, supporting more than 5,600 programs and reaching more than 940,000 children.

The need remains significant: nearly 2.4 million children in Canada live in families affected by food insecurity, and one in three children does not eat breakfast regularly.

“No child should have to worry about having the opportunity to thrive, let alone having access to breakfast,” said Julie Desharnais, President and CEO, Breakfast Club of Canada. “We’re honored to be named CAC’s Charity of the Year and grateful for the awareness and support of CAC and its members across the coffee industry.”

CAC encourages members and the broader coffee community to donate to Breakfast Club of Canada through the CAC Charity of the Year campaign.

The CAC 2026 Charity of the Year Award will be presented at the CAC Conference on Thursday, November 12 in Toronto.
